1976 Gottlieb Target Alpha Pinball (4 player)

Description: Gottlieb Target Alpha pinball. Same game as Gottlieb Solar City, just different number of players (4 players versus 2 players). Gottlieb sold this game design in the two flavors, though they are essentially the exact same game (with major artwork and theme differences). The 2 player version (Solar City) had a lower price than the 4 player (Target Alpha), and was marketed to game operators with less money to spend.

A very cool gottlieb pinball design with a bank of 10 drop targets across the top, and another 5 on the right side. The drop targets have red bullseyes printed on them. Four flippers, two 3" flippers at the bottom and two 2" flipper at the top of the playfield. Two pop bumpers and two slingshots, several rollover lanes. The longest shot in pinball from the lower left flipper to the upper right drop target. They also made this game in a single player format called Gottlieb Eldorado and Gottlieb Gold Strike, and an export game called Gottlieb Canada Dry. Gottlieb used this playfield design several times, so it was a popular design. They made 7285 Gottlieb Target Alpha pinballs, and 2525 Gottlieb Solar City pinball machines.
